![]() Going back to 1.8.9 by overwriting the 1.9.0 RetroArch folder with the previous 1.8.9 archive and overwriting completely fixes this issue. :/Īlso, the "home" button for the switch controller which used to enter the running content options like save states doesn't work and I can't figure out how to make it work as there is no controller input for that in the manual assignment menu. This is a bit tedious as it worked pretty flawlessly in last release. If I want to play Switch and thus have to unpair from the PC then I have to redo all manual mappings. Retroarch will b!tch about it being not configured on reentry though but games will play fine. ![]() I can assign button mappings by hand by going in options - input - Port 1 Controls - Set all controls. Updated to 1.9.0, Steam recognises the controller, it is paired in bluetooth, but says it is not configured in retroarch with the same error code. The only way i was able to make it properly recognize was by emulating a 360 controller, in which case RetroArch recognized it has generic 360 controller.īut due to how this 360 controller emulator works RetroArch recognizes both it and the Wireless Gamepad (1406/8201), so I still need to go through the hassle of configuring the emulator to get Generic 360 has the main controller.Įven though this post is marked as technical support, my goal is more to report a bug in the latest update, since in 1.8.9 the controller is recognized without issue, even without using your suggested steam workaround. If I config the input myself I lose the ability to access the core menu during gameplay through the home button on the controller, and have to re config every time I pair the controller with other device other than my emulation PC. configure -disable-vulkan -disable-ffmpeg…įor getting RetroArch’s keys to match up with the gamepad controls.I am aware that RetroArch has a xinput plugins specifically for the pro controller connected to steam, but even then the controller is still incorrectly recognized. I assume you can SSH into your GS already.Įnter the directory and run the following commands so just follow OP's instructions but go inside the dinput folder for step 5. if anyone is looking for this and can't find it for the Steam version of RetroArch, it's under SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RetroArch\autoconfig\dinput. I’ll keep this thread up-to-date with RetroArch news and changes.įor now, I’ll start with a guide to build an up-to-date RetroArch Download the latest controller profiles by opening retroarch and going to Online Updater -> Update Joypad Profiles. I’m still trying to figure out how to do this but so far no go so if anyone has figured this out or has a solution to my problem I am all ears. And finally SSH’d into the gameshell itself to try and see if the config files were located there.Went into RetroArch to see if there was any way to remap the controls there.Pressed shift + every button on the device while inside mbga with game running I found out X/Y + shift map to L/R this way.Possibly through settings menu but I have yet to figure out how to open the settings menu for mgba Searching man page for mgba and seeing if there’s something there.Searching to see if anyone else had this problem. We support operating systems that not even Microsoft and Apple themselves support anymore, such as macOS on PowerPC Macs, and RetroArch being available on Windows OSes as far back as Windows 95. What I would like to do, is swap the functionality of the turbo keys which are mapped to X/Y by default (I have never had a use for turbo keys anyway) but after trying a few different things (see list below) I really cannot figure out how to do this. RetroArch can run on the usual platforms like Windows, macOS and Linux, but it stands alone in that it can support far more platforms beyond just that. This is very awkward and for games like Megaman Zero it makes gameplay pretty much impossible. The main problem I’m having is I do not like how you have to hold down the shift key + X/Y to access the shoulder buttons. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remap the buttons for mgba. Hi When I start up Retroarch on my Nintendo Switch, the controls aren’t working anymore in the menu.
